Synopsis

Moscow 1682 , Russia is in the grip of a violent power struggle. Ten year old Tsar Peter’s position is being challenged by his sister Sophia and her dangerous counsellor, the evil magician Tchernogor (a tiger). He sends General Grigori (a bear) to Versailles to meet Louis XIV, and seal an alliance between Russia and France. He also wants him to bring back military reinforcements and Princess Hortense, who is to marry Peter.

Grigori’s daughter Dashen’ka – an apprentice magician, who has plans of her own – stows away, and ends up accompanying her father. Much to his chagrin. Grigori also plans to find and bring back his old friends Lefort (a Swiss cat) and Gordon (a Scottish dog). He wants them to form a Musketeers Guard to defend young Peter. Dashenka’s secret plan is to get to Mont St-Michel and find a relic which she believes will save Russia from its internal strife.

Chases, collisions, on-ship battles, magic, humour, emotion, and jeopardy: will the Musketeers be able to save Peter from the plot hatched by his sister ? Or will it be down to Dashen’ka?
